Red Dust Healing workshops

The ongoing impacts of natural disasters and COVID-19 created the need for grief and trauma support for the communities in Southern NSW.

COORDINARE funded six Red Dust Healing workshops in Narooma, Ulladulla, Eden, Queanbeyan, Goulburn and Yass, attended by 180 participants free of charge. The workshops were facilitated by Barry Fernando, a proud Yuwaalaraay man within Gamilaroi nation.

Red Dust Healing is a cultural healing program, written from an Indigenous perspective, and focused for Indigenous as well as non-Indigenous men, women and families. The intention of these workshops was to bring community members together and support their recovery in a practical and evidence informed way.
