Commissioning services to meet local needs
COORDINARE commissions services from our stakeholders, rather than providing services directly. We use population health data, and input from our stakeholders to identify needs, set clear local priorities, and implement government initiatives.
We collaborate to co-design comprehensive system-level improvements that reduce barriers to deliver seamless access to community-centric care for everyone in our region, and especially those facing the greatest health inequities.

New mental health services
COORDINARE commissioned seven new mental health services across the region – two Medicare Mental Health Centres in Moruya and Shellharbour, and five Mental Health Hubs in Bega, Goulburn, Queanbeyan, Shoalhaven and Wollongong.
They offer in-person, phone, internet or group supports to improve mental health and wellbeing, and have been co-designed with services and the community to target local needs.
Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic
The South Eastern NSW Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic commenced at Milton Medical Centre for women in the Shoalhaven and surrounding regions to access expert, multidisciplinary care. The clinic has assisted 146 women aged between 13 and 83 years.
The clinic aims to raise awareness, build professional knowledge and skills in this area, and improve access to information and care pathways.
Learn moreUrgent care options for the community
Urgent care options in Wollongong, Batemans Bay and Dapto have helped ease the pressure on general practice in the regions that they are located, especially during the flu season. There were over 20,300 presentations across the three urgent care facilities.
Note: We are also supporting the next locations of urgent care options in Queanbeyan, Goulburn and Nowra.
